Since March 2026, Shopify stores show up in ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Google's AI Mode by default. WooCommerce stores don't. Here's how a WooCommerce store catches up: find out exactly what stops AI shopping agents reading your products, and fix it in order of impact.

Eligible Shopify stores became discoverable and sellable in ChatGPT and other AI assistants with no setup. Shopify's announcement
WooCommerce's roadmap covers product feeds and agentic checkout, but no built-in ChatGPT integration is shipped or dated. WooCommerce's roadmap
You can submit product feeds, list through a third-party catalog (Shopify even sells an "Agentic Plan" for non-Shopify brands), or wait for WooCommerce. Every route needs the same basics.
Those basics are what AI agents check before they recommend a product: identifiers they can match (GTIN, brand, MPN), pages they're allowed to fetch, structured data they can trust, and content they can read without running JavaScript. The plugin checks all of it on your own store.
Valid GTIN (check digit verified) or MPN, brand, price, stock, image, a real description, attributes, and complete variations. Per product, with a CSV of every gap.
robots.txt for the search and user bots of OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity, plus Google-Extended: nine user agents in all.
Requests a product page as each AI crawler and compares it with a normal browser, to catch security plugins and CDN or firewall rules.
Product JSON-LD on your real product pages: price, currency, availability, identifier and brand.
Most AI crawlers don't run JavaScript. The product name and price must be in the page itself.
Not stuck in WooCommerce's "coming soon" mode, and not set to discourage search engines. Either hides every product.
Store API reachable, guest checkout on, llms.txt present, and a UCP profile at /.well-known/ucp.
wp lasr auditNo plugin can promise that; OpenAI, Google and others decide what they show. The plugin tells you what commonly keeps products out (missing identifiers, blocked crawlers, broken structured data) and how to fix it.
The free plugin makes no outside requests at all: it only requests your own pages, such as robots.txt and a few product pages. Pro contacts Gumroad only to check your license key.
No. It's one route among several. Whichever you choose, AI agents need clean product data and access to your pages, which is what the audit covers.
WooCommerce 10.3 added MCP so AI assistants can help you manage your store. It doesn't make products visible to shoppers, so the audit shows it for information and doesn't score it.
No. The audit runs only when you click the button in your admin. Pro's feeds rebuild in the background a minute after you save a product.
