Case study · Search Opportunity Report · updated 31 October 2026
We ran our Search Opportunity Report on our own site
Before we sell a report, we run it on leymish.com. Here's what it found in our own Search Console data
for 26 September to 23 October 2026, what we're changing because of it, and the full report, unedited. It's analysis and
recommendations: it can't promise traffic, and neither can we.

What the report found
- 38 clicks from 182 impressions in Search Console for 26 September to 23 October 2026 (average position 13.0).
- 149 of those 182 impressions (82%) came from searches too rare for Search Console to list. The site is young, so most searches that find it are one-offs.
- No query reached striking distance (positions 4 to 20 with at least 10 impressions). So the report looked at pages instead.
- Live pages close to the top: /blog/claude-code-github-actions-cron.html (10 impressions, position 5.6), /blog/woocommerce-products-not-syncing-to-merchant-center.html (10 impressions, position 7.0), /woocommerce/guides/add-brand-woocommerce-products.html (10 impressions, position 17.9).
- 6 pages show on page one but get few clicks. 3 of them no longer exist or now forward elsewhere; the report wrote new titles and descriptions for the 3 live ones.
- 6 queries used search operators (OR, quotes, minus signs). They're research searches, not customers, so the report leaves them out.
- Address hygiene: search results still show some addresses on leymish.com without www, and old shop addresses from the domain's earlier life.
- Competing pages and decay couldn't be checked yet: our saved data has queries and pages separately, and less than two 28-day periods of history.
What we're changing because of it
Each change is ticked off here when it's live on the site.
- Done Send every leymish.com address to www.leymish.com with a permanent redirect, so search engines see one host (already in place; the old split is still in Search Console's 28-day data)
- Done Old shop addresses from the domain's earlier life (2 still showing in search) already answer 'gone', so search engines will drop them over time
- Done /journal.html already forwards visitors and is kept out of search, so it needs no new title
- Done New title and description for /claude-code/ (live since 31 October 2026; Search Console data from after that date will show whether more people click)
- Done New title and description for /blog/claude-code-github-actions-cron.html (live since 31 October 2026; Search Console data from after that date will show whether more people click)
- Done New description for /blog/woocommerce-products-not-syncing-to-merchant-center.html (live since 31 October 2026; Search Console data from after that date will show whether more people click)
- To do An Organization block with sameAs links to our official profiles on every page (1 of the 5 pages checked has it)
- To do A visible ‘Updated’ date and dateModified on our guides (5 of the 5 pages checked don't show one yet)
- To do Brief 1: rework /woocommerce/guides/woocommerce-robots-txt-ai-crawlers.html for “woocommerce robots txt”
- To do Brief 2: rework /woocommerce/guides/llms-txt-woocommerce.html for “llms.txt for online store”
- To do Brief 3: rework /woocommerce/guides/add-brand-woocommerce-products.html for “add brand to woocommerce”
- To do Save query-to-page data every week, so the next report can check competing pages and decay
- To do Add a Search Console screenshot and the week's numbers to this page every week
The three pages it told us to write or rework
- WooCommerce robots txt: what it is and how to set it up: woocommerce robots txt
- llms.txt for online store: what it is and how to set it up: llms.txt for online store, llms.txt ecommerce, wordpress llms txt
- Add Brand to WooCommerce: Step-by-Step Guide: add brand to woocommerce
The outlines and the internal links to add are in the full report.
Weekly updates
Every week we'll add a Search Console screenshot and the week's clicks, impressions and positions here, so you can
see what changed after each fix, good or bad. The first update follows the first week of changes.
Questions
What is a Search Opportunity Report?
An analysis of your own Google Search Console data:
the searches where you sit at positions 4 to 20, the pages that show on page one but get few clicks (with new
titles and descriptions, ready to paste), pages competing for the same search, pages losing clicks, an
answer-engine readiness check of your top pages, and three content briefs.
Where do the numbers on this page come from?
From leymish.com's own Search Console
data for 26 September to 23 October 2026, the most recent 28-day period we had saved when the report ran. Nothing is estimated except the
"might gain" figures, which are worked out from your own click rate and labelled as such.
Will the report get me more traffic?
We can't promise that and won't. Search engines
decide rankings. The report shows where effort is most likely to pay and gives you the exact changes; whether
they move your numbers depends on your pages, your competitors and time.
Why didn't any of your searches reach striking distance?
Our site is young: most
searches that found it were too rare for Search Console to list, and the ones it did list had fewer than
10 impressions at positions 4 to 20. So the report worked at page level, which is what a new site
needs.
How much is the report for my site?
US$39 or A$59, one-time, when it launches (coming
soon). The free finder is the first step and runs in your browser.
